Privacy
What we collect, what we do not, and who else is involved. It is a short list.
This policy covers this website only. Buying the product happens on Amazon, and what Amazon collects when you shop there is governed by Amazon's own privacy notice, not this one.
What we collect
Only what you type into one of the two forms on this site.
- Warranty registration
- Your name, your email address and your Amazon order number.
- Contact form
- Your name, your email address, your message, and an Amazon order number if you choose to give one.
We ask for these because a warranty claim cannot be honoured without knowing who you are and which order the unit came from. We do not ask for anything beyond that.
What we do not collect
- No cookies. This site sets none, of any kind, including for analytics or advertising.
- No tracking or analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no third-party tracker anywhere on the site.
- No third-party requests when you are just reading. The typefaces are served from this site rather than from Google, so browsing these pages sends nothing to anyone but our host. Only submitting a form sends anything onward, and only then.
- No payment details. Every purchase goes through Amazon. We never see your card number, and we have no way to.
- No accounts and no passwords. There is nothing to sign up for.
What we do with it
We use what you send to answer you, to register your unit for warranty cover, and to handle a claim if you make one. That is the whole of it.
We do not sell your information, we do not rent or trade it, and we do not add you to a marketing list. If we ever want to email you about anything other than your own enquiry or claim, we will ask first.
How long we keep it
Warranty registrations are kept for two years from the delivery date, so that a claim can still be checked against the cover period after it ends. Contact messages are kept for twelve months. After that they are deleted.
Who else is involved
Three companies touch this site or your message on the way to us. None of them receives your data to use for its own purposes.
- Cloudflare
- Hosts the site and delivers it to your browser. Like any web host, its servers log requests, which includes IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running.
- Formspree
- Receives what you type into either form and forwards it to us. It holds a copy on its own servers for as long as we keep the message.
- Amazon
- Sells, ships and returns the product. Your order and payment details live with Amazon and are covered by Amazon's privacy notice.
Everything else the page needs — the stylesheet, the script, the photography, the video and the two typefaces — is served from this site itself. Loading a page here contacts no other company.
Where your message goes
When you submit either form, what you typed is sent to Formspree, which passes it on to us by email. Nothing is sent until you press the button, and the site itself stores nothing.
Your choices
Send us a message through the contact form and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. There is no account to log into. We will reply within 30 days.
Deleting a warranty registration means we can no longer look your cover up from our side, so keep your Amazon order confirmation if you do.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. We will not apply a new policy retroactively to information already collected under an older one without telling you.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or about information we hold on you, go through the contact form. We reply within 30 days.
